Police Investigating Fatal Crash in Medford

According to police, Florence Bisson was ejected from the car.

Police in Medford, Massachusetts, are investigating a car crash that killed one person Saturday night.

According to officials, State Troopers responded a single vehicle crash on Route 93 southbound in Medford around 7:30 p.m. Saturday.

The driver, later identified by authorities as Florence Bisson, 58, of Haverhill, was killed in the crash.

A preliminary investigation suggests that Bisson was travelling southbound between exits 33 and 32 in a 2005 GMC Envoy when, for reasons still under investigation, she lost control of her car and crashed.

According to police, Bisson was ejected from the car.

All lanes on Route 93 southbound in Medford were closed and traffic was diverted off exit 33 for a time while authorities investigated the scene.

The crash remains under investigation by State Police, Middlesex State Police Detectives Unit and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
