Police are investigating an apparent murder-suicide in Bridgeport on Wednesday night.
Bridgeport police officer was flagged down around 7 p.m. for an emergency at the Trumbull Garden apartment complex on Trumbull Avenue.
Upon arrival, said said a husband and wife were found dead in an apartment. The daughter of the couple is the one who flagged down police.
Police have identified the victims as Jennifer Knox, 33, and her husband, Keith Knox, 32.
It appears that Keith Knox shot Jennifer Knox before taking his own life. Both were found with fatal gunshot wounds, Bridgeport officers said.
Two people who identified themselves as the woman's aunt and uncle spoke to NBC Connecticut.

"We was in shock we couldn’t believe it we had to run and verify so we started calling around we went to the hospital and that’s when we found out it was true," said Enrique Franceschi of Bridgeport.
"It is painful, it is painful. Like I said I am still in shock we are going to miss her she was a good mom a good niece everyone loved her she would take the shirt off her back to give it to you," Virginia Franceschi said.
The investigation is ongoing.
This is an isolated incident and there's no risk to the public, according to police.
