Police are investigating what they are calling the untimely death of a 55-year-old woman in New Fairfield.
State troopers responded to 26 Candlewood Road at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 2, found the 55-year-old woman and deemed the death suspicious, state police said.
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner (OCME) will conduct a post-mortem examination to determine cause and manner of death.
There is no threat to the public or community, troopers said.
On Thursday, police arrested a person of interest on an unrelated larceny charge. Police identified the man as 32-year-old Steven Flood and listed his address as 26 Candlewood Road in New Fairfield.
The investigation is ongoing.
