A New Hampshire man was arrested for allegedly attempting to assault several children with a baseball on Monday evening, according to police.
Nicholas Emond, 32, of Somersworth, allegedly tried to assault several children with a baseball bat and threatened a man who intervened, in the area of 59 Winter St.
Emond retreated to his apartment following the incident, according to Somersworth police.

Police obtained a search warrant and arrested Emond at 10:44 a.m. on Tuesday and charged him with several crimes, including criminal threatening with a deadly weapon, which is a felony.
Emond has yet to be scheduled for an arraignment. It's unclear if he has an attorney.
