Police Warn of House Work Scam in Waltham

Waltham police took to Instagram Wednesday to warn residents about a house work scam.

The suspects, seen in the photo above, offer a great deal for home repairs, then jack up the price as work gets started, police said.

The suspects have Irish accents and drive newer model Ford pickups— one is black, the other silver with Maine plate 5449XH. They use company names such as Shamrock Home Maintenance, ALU-Pro and Home Property Maintenance Care, police said.

Officials say never to pay anyone who insists you pay cash only. And if it seems like a deal that is too good to be true, it probably is.
