People in Boston Common are sliding into Monday with a smile.
"I love snow," Dave Oniffrey, who is enjoying the snow downtown, said.
People are enjoying a snow covered Boston Common and have few complaints about the winter weather.
"I love making snow angels, snowmen and sledding," one girl who was taking advantage of the snow said. "It's always a good day for snow."
The timing seems to have many peopel in good spirits-- some are home for President's Day and others are on school vacation.
"I think the kids will love it. Hopefully they'll be sleigh riding and other things and skating. It's winter, so you do what you got to do," Jen Reilly said. "To not have to worry about this as a snow day and everything gets changed. It's like a bonus snow day."
A group from California was in the Commonwealth to look at colleges. They got a dose of what a winter semester in the Bay State would be like.

"It's kind of colder than I thought," one Californian said.
For those outside working and playing, their winter gear keeps them warm. Rowan made sure to grab his booties before meeting his friends.
"As long as you're dressed for it. But yeah, I love the snow," he said.
Donnie Mooney spent hours getting Frog Pond cleared off and ready for a day of free ice skating. Just one of the many ways to spend the day enjoying the weather some say they've been waiting for.
"Not enough. We just haven't had enough snow yet," Mooney said. "But the winter's not over yet."
Starting on President's Day, Frog Pond is offering free ice skating to the public. The free admission does include skates. The Frog Pond opens at 10 a.m. Monday and tickets are on a first come first serve basis. You are also right by the Freedom Trail if you’re up for a walk today.

There’s lots to do in the city this school vacation week. The J.F.K. Library is holding a President’s Day Family Festival today. Actors will be portraying presidents and kids can keep busy with arts and crafts.
It’s a celebration of National Engineers Week at the Children’s Museum. Kids can do hands on building and problem solving exercises.
The Museum of Fine Arts is also helping to keep kids busy by offering family museum tours and even storytelling.
