Man Facing Multiple Charges After Fight at Wedding Reception

A Massachusetts man is facing charges in connection with a fight at a New Hampshire wedding reception over the weekend.

Cody Dion, 24, of North Andover, is scheduled to be arraigned Monday in Salem, New Hampshire District Court on one count of domestic violence, simple assault and one count of resisting arrest.

Salem police said officers responded to Sayde’s Bar and Grill on Cluff Crossing Road around 8:30 p.m. on Sunday for a report of a fight involving several people "wearing suits and dresses."

Upon arrival, officers learned that an assault had taken place inside the building during a wedding reception.

Guests told police that a man, later identified as Dion, had choked another guest and fled on foot into the nearby woods when confronted by party-goers.

The victim's injuries were consistent with being choked, according to police.

Salem police set up a perimeter and called in a K9 team to locate Dion. Within minutes, he was taken into custody.

It's unclear what led up to the altercation or if Dion has an attorney to represent him.
