September Ending on a Beautiful Note

Keep in mind it’ll be chilly during the overnight

The final weekend of September is ending on a beautiful note across New England.

Highs on Saturday will be in the 60s and 70s with partly cloudy skies. Sunday will be a touch cooler, with highs in the 60s, but we’ll still find plenty of sunshine in Southern New England. A few extra clouds will arrive during the afternoon in Northern New England.

Also keep in mind it’ll be chilly during the overnight, with lows in the 40s and 50s.

At the coast you’ll notice swells arriving from Leslie, a storm swirling far away from land in the middle of the Atlantic.

Monday brings a day with temperatures in the 60s. A cold front will bring partly to mostly cloudy skies, and a few showers across Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine. Parts of these states are still in drought, so the rain is welcomed.

A few spot showers may bleed into Southern New England, but the focus will certainly be north.

The front then morphs into a warm front on Tuesday, keeping showers around Northern New England. On the positive side though, temperatures will pop into the 70s.

That milder than average trend will continue into mid-week as we dry out.

Meanwhile, foliage is finally progressing across the area. Moderate color is now being reported from Northeastern Vermont into Northern New Hampshire and Northern Maine.
