Services Planned for Tewksbury Woman Killed in Vegas Rampage

Services will be held this week to honor a Massachusetts woman who was killed in the Las Vegas shooting rampage that left 58 victims dead.

Rhonda LeRocque, a 42-year-old Tewksbury woman, was among the dead after authorities say Stephen Paddock fired into a massive crowd from his hotel room at Mandalay Bay, then turned the gun on himself.

"She was a woman of God. I'm sure Jehovah God is upset that one of his beautiful, beautiful people is no longer here," LeRocque's mother, Priscilla Champagne, said from her Lowell home last week.

A wake will honor LeRocque from 2-8 p.m. Friday at Nichols Funeral Parlor in Wilmington. A remembrance service is planned at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the auditorium of Tewksbury Memorial High School. Both events are open to the public.
