Three people, including a juvenile, were seriously injured in a fiery rollover crash on Interstate 495 south in Middleboro, Massachusetts on Thursday morning.
Massachusetts State Police said the crash occurred at about 9:35 a.m. between exits 3 and 2. All southbound lanes were closed for a time, but the left lane has since been reopened.
Authorities said a 26-year-old man from Providence, Rhode Island, was traveling in a Ford F-350 pickup truck when he somehow lost control of the vehicle, causing it to roll over and crash into a tree in the breakdown lane.

The crash caused the driver and a 17-year-old passenger to become entrapped in the vehicle which caught fire.
Police said three good Samaritans stopped and were able to extinguish the flames and tend to the victims until first responders arrived.
Middleborough and Wareham Fire crews had to use the Jaws-of-Life to extricate both the driver and 17-year-old.
The driver was taken to Tobey Hospital in Wareham before being taken by medical helicopter to Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston for treatment of serious injuries. The 17-year-old passenger was also taken by medical helicopter to Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston for treatment of serious injuries. An 18-year-old male passenger from Lincoln, Rhode Island was taken by medical helicopter to Rhode Island Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
Police have not released the names of the victims.
No charges have been filed. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
