6-Time Convicted Felon Arrested on Heroin Charges in Norwalk

Norwalk police arrested a man on heroin charges after conducting a surveillance operation on Monday.

Norwalk police said their Special Services Investigators were observing Hopeton "Hot Daddy" Marsh at Ryan Park where they saw him making a drug deal.

When Marsh left the scene in his vehicle police pulled him over.

Police said Marsh was caught with 16 bags of heroin as well as a loaded 9mm pistol with an altered serial number.

Police charged Marsh with criminal possession of a firearm, possessing a weapon in a motor vehicle, altering a firearm serial number, carrying a pistol without a permit, possession of narcotics With intent to sell, possession of narcotics with intent to sell near a school, criminal trespassing and operating with a suspended license.

Marsh is a six-time convicted felon out on parole, police said.

Marsh was set a $100,000 bond and released into the custody of Connecticut Parole.
