Small Earthquake Felt in New Hampshire

Latest in a series of New England quakes

Yet another small earthquake was felt in parts of New England Tuesday evening, this time in Central New Hampshire.

The United States Geological Survey reported the magnitude 2.0 earthquake was centered around Sanbornton, New Hampshire.

Residents reported feeling light shaking around 6:45 p.m. in Sanbornton, Tilton, Belmont, Laconia, and Concord.

A half dozen other small earthquakes have rattled parts of New Hampshire and Maine over the past several weeks. While unusual to have so many this close together, small earthquakes are not uncommon across New England.
