Footage Shows Worker Nearly Hit by Plane in Crash at Boca Raton Airport

Fire officials say a single-engine aircraft with two people on board went down at the airport

Surveillance footage shows a small plane slamming into a fence and nearly hitting a worker during a crash at the Boca Raton Airport Wednesday morning.

The footage shows the single-engine Piper PA28 aircraft skimming the fence line sideways before its wing catches and spins the plane, causing it to break apart as it just misses the worker.

Boca Raton Police officials said the aircraft with two people on board crashed after circling back to the airport from takeoff around 10:30 a.m.

NBC affiliate WPTV-TV say one adult was taken to a local hospital as a trauma alert. The other person suffered minor injuries.

The identities of the people on the plane haven't been released.

The FAA is investigating the cause of the crash.
