Dozens of Snow-Related Crashes Reported

Despite warnings from public officials to stay off the roads, dozens of crashes have already been reported due to the slippery, snow-covered streets.

A tractor trailer rollover was reported at Exit 4 off Route 190 in West Boylston, Massachusetts, around 4:30 p.m. Fire officials said the driver was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

At least two crashes were reported in Spencer, Massachusetts. There was no word on injuries.

Earlier in the day, a tractor trailer rollover was reported in Norfolk, Connecticut.

Several crashes were reported on Wednesday afternoon in New Hampshire, including on Route 101 in Candia, Interstate 93 in Derry and on the Everett Turnpike in Nashua.

Travel is only expected to get more difficult as the storm ramps up Wednesday night. Whiteout conditions are possible, with snow falling at 2 to 3 inches an hour in some areas. The governors of Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Connecticut are all urging motorists to avoid travel if at all possible.
