Snow Wraps Up, Will Melt Quickly

Snow will quickly wrap up Sunday morning. Most areas will wake up to 3-6” of accumulation. If you’re planning on getting up later this morning, or haven’t looked out the window yet, snow will quickly melt.

Temperatures will climb into the 40s during the afternoon under sunny skies. That late(ish) February sun is getting stronger and stronger. Even if it isn’t completely gone by the afternoon, it will be gone by Monday.

We are expecting a significant warming trend coming up for Tuesday and Wednesday. The record for Tuesday is 68 degrees, which was set back in 1930.

Currently, the forecast is calling for a high temperature of 66 degrees. We have a better chance of setting a record on Tuesday. The record high is 63 degrees set in 1906. We’re forecasting a high temperature of 66 degreesd fpr Wednesday.

Even after our two days in the 60s, temperatures stay above average. Our exclusive 10-day forecast keeps temperatures above 40 degrees through the end of the forecast period. Even the overnights will be slightly above normal, hovering around the freezing mark.

Our weather won’t be sunny the entire stretch. This will be very similar to a spring-time pattern. We’re expecting times of sun and clouds, but showers are also likely.

Don’t expect a huge amount of rain, but showers could result in another half inch of precipitation through the remainder of the week.
