Today it will finally start to feel like spring and will be perfect for any of your outdoor plans, including for any volunteers participating in Comcast Cares Day across the region.
Temperatures this afternoon will rebound into the mid 50s under mostly sunny skies, so don’t forget the sunscreen and sunglasses. Winds remain out of the northwest at 10-15 mph.
Heads up for those near Mt. Washington, New Hampshire. Over the last few days, Mt. Washington has received 16-to-18 inches of new snow. With the new snow, coupled with nearly 60 mph gusts today, an Avalanche Warning has been posted through midnight tonight for the eastern slopes of Mt. Washington, including Tuckerman and Huntington ravines.
Overnight tonight, as a dome of high pressure remains over the region, it will be another clear and cool night ahead with lows into the 30s with another round of patchy frost possible.
Plus, don’t forget to look up in the night sky to see a few shooting stars associated with the Lyrid Meteor Shower. At the peak, 10-15 meteors just before dawn in the southeast sky. If you're lucky, you could spot even Saturn and Mars.
After another chilly start, Sunday will quickly warm-up with highs into the mid to upper 50s, with a few more spots reaching 60 degrees under plentiful sunshine. It will be picture perfect weather for your Earth Day outdoor plans. The warm-up will bring ample amounts of sunshine and that continues into the start of the work week.
Monday will see highs in the lower 60s under mostly sunny skies while Tuesday will deliver a cloudier weather as the wind shifts to out of the South Southwest as a dome of high pressure slides off the coast of New England.

The nice spring-like pattern will give us highs in the 60s for most of the 10-day forecast, but the next round of rain greets us by Wednesday morning’s commute.
