Sprinkles Move Out, Temperatures Rebound

Clouds kept the temperatures from falling to seasonably cold levels last night, and with the added boost this morning — along with a milder airmass — we’re looking at a significant warmup today.

A few sprinkles may be around first thing, but those are moving out of the region throughout the morning. Spokes of sun will return to Southern New England first, then slowly emerge in Central New England.

Temperatures respond quickly, bouncing back to the mid-60s by afternoon. By the end of the day, some spots may reach near 70 in Southern New England. And this is just the beginning.

Friday will also get a boost from a semi-mild night. Highs could reach the low 70s in some spots south, while highs top out in the 60s north. A cool front is also crossing during the day, possibly triggering a few widely scattered showers.

The weekend starts on a sunny note, but temps will be much cooler. Few showers could arrive by Sunday afternoon as highs remain in the seasonable 50s.
