Police are investigating a stabbing that occurred on Monday afternoon in Abington, Massachusetts.
The stabbing occurred in the area of Plymouth Street on the side of the road.
Abington police said the scene remains active, and that they are searching for a female in the area of the train tracks.

Both the victim and the suspect are young, police said. Their exact ages were not released.
Donna Slonina, who lives across the street from where the stabbing took place, said police were looking for a "female who's barefoot, probably around 16, 17 years old."
The stabbing prompted investigators to begin searching nearby homes.
"[They] checked the shed that was left open," Slonina said. "They checked under the pool, they checked the whole yard."
No further details were immediately available.
