Subtropical Storm Melissa Finally Pulls Away

Sunday is the pick of the weekend with plenty of sunshine and temperatures in the 60s

Our hybrid storm—a mixture of a subtropical storm and a nor’easter—named Melissa continues to pull away from New England. That means our weather will improve as we head into the long holiday weekend.

Morning drizzle near the coast will taper off by Saturday afternoon as we dry out. Clouds will hold tough though, with temperatures in the 50s.

Wind gusts 20-30 MPH during the morning will also diminish with time. The large waves will also slowly back off during the day.

Inland expect a few breaks of sunshine and highs in the low 60s.

Sunday is the pick of the weekend with plenty of sunshine and temperatures in the 60s.

The holiday itself will also be in the 60s, but a wave of low pressure will approach with a few more clouds and even a few spotty showers. The best chance of seeing those will be in parts of Southern New England.

High pressure brings a return of nice weather on Tuesday, before another round of rain sometime Wednesday into Thursday.
