Sun and Clouds With Chance Sprinkles for Some Areas

Low pressure only slowly moves out of Northern Maine late today. Showers in Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine slowly spread to the south. Most of southern New England should be dry with high temperatures close to 80 degrees.

Low pressure is strengthening near Baxter State Park in Maine today, resulting in a mix of clouds and sunshine with quite a bit of wind. In southern New England, gusts past 30 mph will come from the west.

We still have lingering clouds at night with the few showers left over in Maine early tomorrow morning. But then we are going to a trend of nice weather. It will go from cool on Friday morning to warm to hot by Saturday afternoon — especially Sunday and Monday.

On Friday, temperatures will be in the 70s. Temperatures Saturday will be in the 80s with continued low humidity. That means nice weather for sleeping Friday night and Saturday night.

On Sunday, the humidity builds back in with a high temperature close to 90 degrees and a slight chance of a shower.

On Monday, it looks hot with sun and thunderstorms and temperatures close to 90 degrees with high humidity.
