Sunshine Returns for First Weekend of Summer

After a week filled with clouds and rain, sunshine returns just in time for the first full weekend of summer.

Lingering showers this afternoon will fizzle down around and just after sunset, as skies gradually clear. Lows drop down into the 50s to near 60. A busy northwest wind will continue to bring is dry, comfortable, and less humid air overnight.

Saturday dawns with bright sunshine. With the heating of the day puffy clouds will bubble up, and eventually a few sprinkles or spot showers will develop. These will be fleeting, and will not have a big impact on any plans you have outside. Expect highs in the 70s to around 80 with still low humidity thanks to a the gusty northwest wind.

Sunday brings more sunshine and warmer temperatures. Highs will reach the 70s and 80s, even at the beaches, since there will be no seabreeze.

Winds get lighter on Monday, so a seabreeze will develop. Expect 70s along with the coast with 80s inland under a mix of sun and clouds.

Our next chance of rain arrives on Tuesday, but after that the rest of the week certainly looks brighter and drier than this week.
