The violent fugitive arrested after a 6-hour standoff with police in Hampton, New Hampshire, waived extradition Friday and will now return to Massachusetts to face charges there.
Michael Ellis, 22, of Haverhill, Massachusetts, was found hiding in a crawl space at his friend's house on Fairfield Drive following the SWAT situation on Thursday. He faces charges out of Hampton for being a fugitive and resisting arrest.
He was also wanted out of Massachusetts for two counts of armed robbery and assault and battery and for operating without a valid license.
The standoff eventually ended peacefully and Ellis was taken into police custody.
No officers were hurt, and Ellis only suffered a minor injury.
According to the police report, Hampton police received information at 10:30 a.m. Thursday from Massachusetts State Police and Haverhill police that Ellis was at an address on Fairfield Drive. Surveillance was set up on the home, and after further investigation it was determined that Ellis was inside.
The Seacoast Emergency Response Team was called in to assist in what police considered a "high risk" warrant service. Ellis refused to surrender for hours, and the SERT team ultimately was forced to enter the home.

Ellis was found hiding in a loft in the garage at 7:20 p.m. and was taken into custody without further incident.
He will be held without bail in New Hampshire for a week before being brought back to Massachusetts.
