SUV Driver Who Crashed Into House Charged With OUI

Daniel Watts, 33, allegedly crashed into the side of his parents' neighbors' home.

A Massachusetts man who crashed his SUV into a Bridgewater home early Sunday morning is facing a drunk driving charge, police announced Monday.

Daniel Watts, 33, of Bridgewater has been charged with operating under the influence of liquor and negligent operation of a motor vehicle.

Police say Watts crashed into the side of a home belonging to his parents' Auburn Street neighbors around 4 a.m., and that the impact of the crash into the home's foundation caused his Hyundai SUV to careen into the home's laundry room before hitting the neighbor's 2008 Chevy Uplander that was parked in the driveway.

Although first responders found him alert and conscious, Watts was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries after the crash. No one inside the home was injured.

It's unclear when Watts will be sumonsed to Brockton District Court or whether he has an attorney.

The investigation is ongoing.
