Teenage Boy From RI Killed in Motorcycle Crash in North Attleboro

The operator of the other motorcycle and his female passenger suffered minor injuries

A teenage boy was killed early Wednesday morning in a double motorcycle crash in North Attleboro, Massachusetts, authorities said.

The crash involving two motorcycles happened at about 3 a.m. at the intersection of East Washington Street and Route 1, according to the Bristol County District Attorney's Office.

Sixteen-year-old Xavier Miguel, of Pawtucket, Rhode Island, one of the motorcycle operators, was taken to Rhode Island Hospital, where he died from his injuries.

The operator of the other motorcycle and his female passenger suffered minor injuries and declined medical treatment, according to the district attorney.

Authorities hadn't determined if Miguel was wearing a helmet, but said the other operator was not.

The exact cause of the crash remains under investigation.
