Teenager Dies in Berlin Crash

A 19-year-old male is dead after an early morning crash in Berlin.

According to police, first responders were called to the 200 block of Wethersfield Road just after 12:30 a.m. Saturday morning. A resident who lived near the crash called police to report it.

They say the driver, who was the only person in the car, lost control of the vehicle and hit a tree off the southbound side of the roadway. They worked to extricate the victim from the vehicle, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The identity of the victim is being withheld pending notification of next of kin. He was the only one in the vehicle. 

The Berlin Police Traffic Bureau and the Mid-State Accident Reconstruction Squad are investigating the fatal crash. Police ask anyone with information or any witnesses to call Berlin police at 860-828-7080.
