Tewksbury Police Arrest One, Seize Drugs

A 32-year-old Roxbury man is charged with trafficking in cocaine after investigators seized 49 grams of cocaine and oxycodone during a traffic stop, according to Tewskbury police.

Jimmorie L. Marshall of 40 Winthrop St. is charged with trafficking in cocaine (over 36 grams), possession of a Class B substance (cocaine), driving with a suspended license, resisting arrest, speeding and an open container violation for both alcohol and marijuana, according to a police news statement.

The traffic stop occurred at about 1:30 a.m. Friday. During the stop, police asked Marshall to exit the car after learning he didn't have an active driver's license.

"He made furtive movements and resisted the Officers," police said. "After Officers were able to secure Marshall they discovered 49 grams of cocaine and oxycodone."

Marshall was scheduled to be arraigned at Lowell District Court.
