Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has a cameo in the new Netflix show "Living With Yourself," and while it isn't his first appearance in a film or TV show, it might be his strangest.
The show is a comedy featuring Paul Rudd about a man who's burned out on life that undergoes a procedure to clone his best possible self. The catch is that the procedure takes place inside of a place named Top Happy Spa, located in a strip mall. It slightly resembles Orchids of Asia Day Spa, the Florida spa where Patriots owner Robert Kraft was charged with soliciting a prostitute in February.
As Rudd's character pulls his car into the parking lot of the spa, Brady walks out of the spa sporting a satisfied smile.
"First time?" Brady asks Rudd's character.
"Uh-huh. You?" Rudd responds.
"Sixth," Brady answers.
The joke is, of course, that Brady has undergone the miracle procedure that allows a person to become the best version of himself six different times, one for each Super Bowl title he has. The low-hanging fruit is that Brady emerged from a spa similar to the type his team's owner was arrested at.
Brady spoke out against that reaction Saturday afternoon to the media. He said that the scene was filmed a year ago in front of a green screen.

"That's not what that was about, I think that was taken out of context," he said. "It was meant to be something different than that. So the fact that it's a distraction or you're bringing it up is not something I want to be talking about."
"It's unfortunate that people would choose to think that I would do something like that to Mr. Kraft."
Rudd, who also co-produced the show, is a noted Kansas City Chiefs fan.
In an interview with The Wrap, director Tim Greenberg said that the script was written in 2016, long before the charges against Kraft existed. Greenberg, a lifelong New York Jets fan, meant it as a "subtle dig" at Brady following his Deflategate suspension.
Previously, Brady has appeared in two movies featuring Boston-native actors: the Mark Wahlberg film "Ted 2" and Matt Damon's "Stuck on You."
