An elderly woman was killed in a rollover crash Saturday morning in West Bridgewater, Massachusetts.
The fatal accident occurred at 8:20 a.m. on Route 24 northbound, between Exit 16 and Exit 17.
Massachusetts State Police say Ruth Nickerson, 70, of West Bridgewater, lost control of her vehicle, causing it to rollover and crash. Nickerson was ejected from the vehicle during the accident.
She was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital in Brockton where she was pronounced dead.
The left middle lanes were closed following the crash but have since re-opened.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation with assistance from the State Police, Crime Scene Services and Plymouth County Detective unit.
