Massachusetts authorities are investigating the death of an infant found unresponsive Thursday afternoon at a daycare in Watertown.
Police responded to the daycare facility on Watertown Street at 2:16 p.m. after receiving a 911 call.
The 5-month-old infant was taken to Newton-Wellesley Hospital where she was pronounced dead, according to the Middlesex District Attorney's office.
State Police assigned to the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office are working with the Watertown Police to investigate the child's death.
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine the infant's exact cause and manner of death.
