A Massachusetts man who allegedly took inappropriate photographs of a child taking a shower at a gym in Wellesley is under arrest, police said.

Barry Williams, 60, was arrested Monday following an investigation on a felony charge of secretly recording a child under the age of 18 in the nude or partially nude, according to the Wellesley Police Department.

The investigation began July 9, when Wellesley police received a report that a man may have taken inappropriate photographs of a child using a shower at the Boston Sports Club on Great Plain Avenue, according to a police statement.

Wellesley police investigators worked with detectives from the Bureau of Criminal Investigation and staff at the gym to identify Williams, police said.
