Woman Struck and Killed While Walking Dog in Acton ID'd

The woman who was killed after being struck by a vehicle while walking her dog Tuesday morning in Acton, Massachusetts, has been identified.

Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan and Acton Chief of Police Richard Burrows said Naomi McManus, 75, of Acton, was discovered unresponsive on Revolutionary Road at 8:07 a.m.

McManus was taken by medical helicopter to Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston where she later died. 

The driver who struck McManus is cooperating with authorities. No charges have been filed.

The Middlesex District Attorney’s Office, the Acton Police Department and Massachusetts State Police are investigating the exact cause of the crash.
