World Series Trophy Damaged at Charity Event

The 2017 Commissioner's Trophy awarded to the Houston Astros earlier this month was damaged during a charity event on Wednesday.

The Houston Chronicle reports that the table that the trophy was sitting on collapsed, sending the trophy to the floor.

This all happened during the "One Great Night in November" at the Museum of Fine Arts in Houston.

The Chronicle reports that the trophy was quickly picked up and placed back on the table, but several people quickly realized that some of the flags were bent out of shape.

A museum staff member told the Chronicle that the trophy was sent back to the museum's restoration department to be fixed. Some people in the crowd used the accident as a joke, saying, "We'll just have to win another one."
