As of August 13, 2016, state police are investigating claims of alleged horse neglect in Dalton, New Hampshire.
State police, a member from the New Hampshire Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (NHSPCA) and a veterinarian met with the horses' owner at his property.
The owner voluntarily surrendered 10 horses to the NHSPCA.
