Student Grabbed While Walking Alone

Bowdoin College student was walking alone Sunday night

A female Bowdoin College student was reportedly grabbed from behind early Sunday morning while walking alone.

The Director from the Office of Campus Safety and Security, Randy Nichols, reported that the student was walking at 1:40 A.M. from the Harpswell Apartments to the Brunswick Apartments in Brunswick, Maine.

The student was reportedly able to break free from the attacker, whom she described as a white male, age 30-35, with short dark hair, brown eyes, unshaven facial stubble, and what appeared to be a tattoo on his left arm. The suspect has a very slim build and wore a black zippered hoodie, a white t-shirt and baggy jeans.

The student was talking on the phone at the time of the assault and was physically uninjured.

The Brunswick Police Department is investigating this matter with assistance from Bowdoin Security.
