Tow Truck Driver Grazed by Bullet in Dorchester

A tow truck driver was hospitalized Monday afternoon after being grazed by a bullet in Boston's Dorchester neighborhood.

Police responded to the scene in the area of 15 Lincoln St. at about 4:15 p.m.

Witness Kevin Vo, who was working construction on the street nearby, said he heard gunshots and then saw the tow truck driver laying on the ground.

"I hear the pop pop. I see the guy, tow truck driver, laying on the street and I asked if he was OK and he said, 'the guy shoot me'. He stand up I see two holes in his shirt," Vo recalled.

Boston EMS officials said the victim, who has not been identified, was transported to an area hospital.

A representative from the tow truck company said the driver remains hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.
