1 Injured, 1 in Custody After Portland, Maine, Shooting

Police have arrested a teenager after a shooting that injured one person Friday in Portland, Maine.

The incident happened on Elizabeth Road, where 18-year-old Christopher McMann, the suspect, lives.

McMann is charged with reckless conduct with a firearm. Police say he shot 20-year-old Daniel Trimble-Smith of Standish during a confrontation.

Trimble-Smith is in serious condition, but he is expected to recover fully.

According to police, a bullet went into another house. A resident was in another room and was not hurt, but the wall, furniture and other belongings were damaged.

Officials are still on scene investigating. Police add they've blocked off serveral streets in the area and are using an abundance of caution.

Necn observed police arriving at the scene in armored vehicles with a microphone to make sure no one else is in the residence where the shooting took place.
