An 11-year-old girl has died after a hit-and-run crash Thursday night in Methuen, Massachusetts.
The girl was crossing the street with her father around 9:45 p.m. in the area of Broadway and Kirk Street when a vehicle struck her.
Arriving officers administered CPR at the scene and the girl was transported to Lawrence General Hospital.
Methuen Police confirmed that the girl had passed away in the hospital just before 12:30 a.m. on Friday.
The victim has not been identified.
Police are looking for witnesses in the area of the incident.
"If you were involved in this accident, maybe you were the driver of the vehicle, don't make things any worse," Methuen Police Chief Joseph Solomon said in a statement. "We're going to continue looking for you. Please, turn yourself in."
