10 Displaced After Fire in Dorchester

The fire caused heavy damage to the back porches of the triple-decker building

Almost a dozen people are now homeless after a fire on Ellington Street in Dorchester, Massachusetts Wednesday morning.

The fire caused heavy damage to the back porches of the triple-decker building. The estimated cost for the damage is about $250,000.

No injuries were reported.

Fire officials say the fire was caused by careless disposal of smoking material on the first-floor rear porch.
