Firefighters are trying to figure out what sparked an apartment fire in Boston's Brighton neighborhood.

Boston firefighters were called to the apartment on Champney Street just before 2 Friday morning.

The flames damaged at least three apartments and 11 people are now staying with family and friends.

One firefighter was transported for an evaluation, but no other injuries were reported.

The fire chief estimates the damage at $500,000.
