    Fire officials said a blaze heavily damaged a three-decker apartment building on Ridgewood Street Tuesday morning.

    In total, 11 residents were displaced by the three-alarm blaze, which broke out shortly after 1 a.m. at 36 Ridgewood St. The American Red Cross assisted the displaced residents, according to the fire department.

    Fire officials did not release a suspected cause of the fire but said no one was injured. The fire heavily damaged back porch areas on the building.

    Total fire damage was estimated at about $400,000, according to the Boston Fire  Department.
