Injuries Reported in O'Neill Tunnel Crash

State police reported metal all over the road in what they described as a "heavy wrecker"

Two separate crashes created major delays on Interstate 93 north in Boston on Wednesday morning.

One crash was at the entrance to O’Neill Tunnel, while another inside the tunnel involving a dump truck, a flatbed truck and two cars blocked the two left lanes.

State police reported large pieces of metal that were being carried by the flatbed all over the road in what they described as a "heavy wrecker."

Injuries were reported, but the number and extent is not yet known.

Traffic was backed up all the way to Braintree at one point, making for a messy morning commute.

As of 10 a.m., all lanes in the O'Neill Tunnel had reopened.
