    Crews Respond to 2-Alarm Fire in Lawrence

    One man was badly injured in a 2-alarm fire Monday morning in Lawrence.

    One person was badly burned in a 2-alarm fire early Monday morning in Lawrence.

    Eleven people in total were evacuated from the 3-unit building on Fairmont Street.

    Firefighters responded to an emergency call just before 2 a.m.

    "When we showed up there was a gentleman outside of the building. He had noticeable burn injuries," said Deputy Chief Bob Wilson.

    EMS was called to transport the victim to an area hospital.

    The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
