2 Arrested After Theft, Tussle with Target Employee

The incident occurred on Sunday afternoon in Nashua, New Hampshire

Two people were arrested on Sunday after they stole a large quantity of baby formula from a Target store and then one of the suspects got into a physical alercation with a store employee.

Daniel Drew, 24, is charged with robbery, and Aimee McNamara, 21, is charged with criminal liability for the conduct of another to theft. Both suspects live at 695 Hildreth St. in Dracut, Massachusetts.

Around 2:38 p.m. Sunday, police in Nashua, New Hampshire, received a report of a shoplifting incident at the Target Store at 600 Amherst St. A store employee told police that Drew had stolen a large quantity of baby formula from the store. The store employee attempted to detain Drew, but Drew became involved in a physical altercation with the employee and threw him to the ground. The employee was not injured.

Drew then fled the scene in a white van which was waiting for him.

Police later located the vehicle, a white 2005 Chevrolet van, on Amherst Street by Somerset Parkway. The van was being driven by McNamara and the stolen formula was located inside. Both suspects were taken into custody.

Drew was held on $10,000 cash or surety bail and was expected to be arraigned in Nashua District Court on Monday. McNamara was released on $300 cash bail and will be arraigned in Nashua District Court on Feb. 9.
