2 Charged After Baseball Bat, BB Gun Attack

Police say it was not a random incident and that the victims knew the two suspects

Police in Rochester, New Hampshire, have arrested two men in connection with an assault in which two people were beat with a baseball bat and one was shot in the head with a BB gun.

On Dec. 22, police responded to the Hi Vu Motor Inn on Rochester Hill Road for a reported assault at 2:05 a.m.

It was reported that a female victim was hit in the head and arm with a baseball bat, as well as shot in the head with a BB gun.

A male victim reported being struck several times with a bat as well. Both suspects fled before police arrived.

Through investigation, police identified the suspects as Tyler Janvrin, 22, and Damon Austin, 32, both of Rochester.

Janvrin was arrested on Dec. 23 and was charged with second degree assault, two counts of criminal mischief and burglary. Bail was set at $1,000. He will be arraigned Wednesday in the 7th District Rochester Court at 11:30 a.m.

Austin was also arrested on Dec. 23 and was charged with conspiracy to commit burglary. Bail was set at $5,000. He will also be arraigned Wednesday in the 7th District Rochester Court at 11:30 a.m.
