2 Injured, Several Displaced in Overnight Fire

Flames could be seen pouring from windows and roof of the building at the height of the fire

Officials say one resident and one firefighter were taken to a hospital after an overnight fire tore through a multi-family home in Cranston, Rhode Island,

The blaze started at about 2 a.m. on Friday. Flames could be seen pouring from windows and roof of the building at the height of the fire.

One resident was treated for burns and a firefighter was injured after a portion of a ceiling fell on him.

The Red Cross is helping several residents who escaped the flames but were left homeless.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
