2 Rescued From Vehicle After Crash

Two occupants were rescued from a vehicle after a crash in Hanover, Massachusetts. It took nearly an hour to extract the motorist.

A man was trapped in a vehicle for nearly an hour after a car crash early Saturday morning, the Hanover, Massachusetts, fire department confirms.

Two occupants were trapped after the crash occurred at 290 East Street around 2:45 a.m.

According to the department, it took 48 minutes using hydraulic rescue tools to free the male driver from the vehicle. A medical helicopter was not available due to cloud cover, so he was transported via an ambulance to South Shore Hospital.

In addition, a female passenger was extracted quickly and transported to South Shore Hospital. The severity of their injuries has not been released.
