Two teenagers were taken to the hospital Tuesday morning after being hit by a car in Boston's Roxbury neighborhood.
Police say a 15-year-old girl and 16-year-old boy were crossing Tremont Street near Malcolm X Boulevard with two other teens when they were somehow hit. The driver then hit a utility pole.
Witnesses told police that the two victims and two friends were in a crosswalk when the car ran a red light. The 16-year-old boy was pinned under the car.
Both he and the 15-year-old girl were taken to area hospitals.
The boy was at Brigham and Women's Hospital Tuesday night. His family says he underwent surgery and is doing much better.
The girl, identified by her father as 15-year-old Lisset Medina, who is a student at Madison Park High, miraculously only suffered bruises to her face. Juan Medina, speaking exclusively to NBC10 Boston, says Lisset has no broken bones or internal injuries.
Boston Police Commissioner William Evans said the driver was also taken to an area hospital. His injuries were not considered serious and he was released from the hospital and questioned by detectives.

The driver's car was impounded by Boston police and is being checked for any mechanical problems.
Law enforcement sources tell the NBC10 Boston Investigators the driver of the car is 34-year-old Kevin Small. Police investigators do not believe drugs or alcohol were a factor in the crash.
No charges have been filed.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
