Providence, Rhode Island, police are investigating after two men were shot while sitting in a vehicle.
Authorities say the victims were shot near the corner of Sassafras and Savings streets at about 8:30 p.m. Wednesday.
No names were released but Capt. Oscar Perez says one victim was in his late teens and the other was in early 20s. He says the Providence residents were shot several times, including in the torso and in the neck. Both were conscious when officers arrived and were taken to Rhode Island Hospital.
Their car was also riddled with bullets.
There was no word on suspects or arrests.
