23 Cows Killed in Fire at Historic Vermont Farm

Twenty-three cows were killed Sunday in a fire at a historic farm in Waterbury, Vermont.

NBC5 reported the fire broke out at about dinner time at the Wallace Farm on Blush Hill Road.

Because there are no fire hydrants in the area, firefighters had to truck water in from a reservoir miles away.

No humans were injured in the blaze and crews were able to save the family dog.

According to NBC5, the farm has been around for 152 years.
