ALTON, Maine (AP) - Police say three people have been found dead in a home in the central Maine community of Alton.
State police responded to the home at about 7:30 p.m. Monday after getting a call from a woman who said she went to the home and found one man dead.
Police subsequently searched the house and found the bodies of another man and a woman.
No names were immediately released and the manner of death was not made public, but authorities said two of the dead were husband and wife.

The deaths remain under investigation and police say autopsies are scheduled for Tuesday.
Alton is on Interstate 95 north of Bangor.
